The Napa Green Passport and Travel Package unlocks over $600 in value and can easily pay for itself in one day. There are 15 different wine tasting offers, including half-off tours and tastings at Tres Sabores and Chimney Rock or a complimentary tasting (with gourmet nibbles) at Handwritten Wines.
Passport holders also receive a 10% discount at LEED-Platinum certified Bardessono Hotel & Spa, which was voted California’s top 5-star hotel in 2018. In Napa, the same deal is on offer at The Westin Verasa (a certified Green Business), situated by the Napa River, Oxbow Market, and the Napa Valley Wine Train. Guests can get outdoors and kayak or paddleboard through the Carneros sparkling wine region with Napa Valley Paddle. Those who like to bike can ride the Vine Trail with Napa Valley Bike Tours. For hiking with amazing valley views, take a tour with Active Wine Adventures. All of these experiences are offering Napa Green discounts.
There is something else that sets the Napa Green Tasting Passport apart. Napa Green is setting aside “3% for the Community.” Three percent of Passport profits will go to UpValley Family Centers, which provides strengths-based, culturally relevant services, including emergency assistance. UpValley Family Centers has stood on the county’s COVID-19 and fire response frontlines, providing essential aid and other resources to low-income families impacted by recent crises.
The Napa Green Tasting Passport is $99 per person, or $84 with the purchase of two or more passports, and can be purchased on CellarPass. The Passport purchase unlocks the suite of Napa Green Travel Package discounts. Passports are good through December 31, 2020. Be sure to make advanced reservations and bring your classiest mask. Napa Green’s vineyard team is trained to develop regenerative, whole-farm Carbon Farm Plans (CFPs). These plans review all of the current beneficial practices that are increasing soil and ecosystem health and storing carbon, and identify additional opportunities to regenerate the soil and vineyard ecosystem and simultaneously maximize carbon capture in a given property. Each vineyard’s goal is to become carbon neutral (or negative) and increase the resilience of vineyards, businesses, and our community.

Napa Green Certified Vineyards implement climate-smart burn practices, such as Conservation Burning, Flame Cap Kilns, and Air Curtain Burners. These practices reduce smoke and emissions and create biochar. Biochar is re-fossilized wood that provides long-term carbon storage. Even more compelling, when inoculated and applied with compost, biochar aids in water retention and increases water and fertilizer efficiency.
