Accendo Cellars

Accendo Cellars is: the Araujo Family’s wine brand, made by two generations working together with their longstanding team to honor the winemaking and family heritage of Napa Valley.

TO ILLUMINATE:  Shine a light on what’s behind the bottle – great vineyards, enlightened and sustainable farming, artisanal winemaking and the art of the blend. Wines that build on what came before, generation to generation.

TO INSPIRE:  Produce and promote classically styled wines that express their terroir with balance, purity and nobility; revisit the iconic Napa Valley Cabernets of the 1950s – 1970s, sourced from multiple vineyards and showing perfectly 50 – 70 years later. Great wines don’t answer all the questions at the first sip. Great wines inspire a dialog about what makes them great

TO AROUSE: Continue the conversation about what makes a great wine great, a conversation that burns on, generation after generation; participate in the passion of our efforts to produce singular wines and sustain our industry, our environment and our community.

Accendo sustains shared appreciation for the great wines and all those who make and drink them with us in Napa Valley and beyond.

Jaime Araujo | Partner

As a partner in Accendo Cellars, Jaime brings a wealth of experience in marketing fine wine worldwide. Before joining the family business, she founded Terravina, an international marketing, communications and strategic solutions company for the wine industry based in Paris. She also spent three years working in marketing for the wine and spirits division of LVMH.

Greg Araujo | Partner

Greg’s path was unconventional. He is perhaps the one who was the most clearly predestined for the role, but the one who also resisted the longest. The family’s arrival in Napa ignited Greg’s interest in food and gastronomy, and in 1995, fresh out of college, he became the first American to study at the prestigious Luis Irizar cooking school in San Sebastian, Spain.

Françoise Peschon | Winemaker

Françoise has worked alongside Daphne and Bart Araujo since 1993 when they were proprietors of the Eisele Vineyard. Today at Accendo Cellars, she oversees the winemaking for the Sauvignon Blanc and consults with Nigel Kinsman on the Cabernet.

Nigel Kinsman | Winemaker

Nigel Kinsman began working with the Araujo family in 2010 when he joined the team as winemaker at Araujo Estate Wines. A decade later, he now makes the family’s Cabernet Sauvignon for Accendo Cellars.
